Hello, my name is Katy. I am a nature lover and an avid hiker (but I won't make you walk 500 miles during a Forest Therapy experience). I work as a translator and a copywriter, across continents and languages. I teach Kundalini yoga and meditation at Lighthouse Yoga PDX, and I play the gong for sound healing around town and at Breitenbush Hot Springs. Many jobs, one integrated life.
My first Forest Therapy walk was here, in Portland, at Leach Botanical Garden in 2021. My friend went on a walk there and said: “You're gonna love this. It's you, it's SO you.’’ He was right, he was SO right...
Forest Bathing was a revelation to me. Like finding a GIANT piece of my puzzle. A practice that brought EVERYTHING together for me: people, nature, crafting with words, deep presence and sensory experience. Bridging and connecting. Coming HOME.
And I believe the forest is OUR home, but a lot of people have forgotten that. And that's why there is so much pain, for humans and our Planet alike. Forest Therapy walks are a wonderful way to RE-MEMBER and re-establish a relationship with Nature, with ourselves, and with one another. Will you join me?
